Online stopwatch
A precise online stopwatch with lap splits and keyboard shortcuts — counts in hundredths of a second.
Shortcuts: Space start/pause · L lap · R reset
How to use
Press Start (or the Space bar) to begin timing. The display counts up in minutes, seconds and hundredths of a second so you can capture precise splits. Press the same button to pause, and Resume to continue from where you left off.
While the stopwatch is running, hit Lap (or the L key) to record a split without stopping the clock. Each lap shows both the split time since the previous lap and the cumulative total, so you can compare intervals at a glance. Reset (or the R key) clears everything back to zero.
The stopwatch runs entirely in your browser using a high-resolution timer, so it stays accurate and works offline. Copy or download your recorded laps as a simple table whenever you need a record of them.
Examples
Tap Lap at the end of each set to compare how your times change across the session.
Time multiple steps and read the cumulative total without resetting.
Record splits at checkpoints to see exactly where time was gained or lost.
Frequently asked questions
Is the stopwatch accurate?
Yes. It uses the browser's high-resolution performance clock rather than a naive interval, so it doesn't drift even if a tab is briefly throttled.
What do split and total mean?
Split is the time since your previous lap; total is the elapsed time since you started. Both are shown for every lap.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?
Yes — Space starts/pauses, L records a lap, and R resets.
Does it keep running if I switch tabs?
The elapsed time is computed from timestamps, so it stays correct when you return, though the on-screen update pauses while the tab is in the background.
