Pomodoro timer
Focus with the Pomodoro technique — customizable work/break cycles, sound and notifications.
How to use
The Pomodoro technique breaks work into focused sprints separated by short breaks. Press Start to begin a focus session; when it ends, the timer automatically switches to a break, plays a sound and shows a notification, then continues the cycle. After a set number of focus sessions you get a longer break.
Use the settings panel to tune the focus length, short and long break lengths, and how many focus sessions happen before a long break. The defaults (25 / 5 / 15 minutes, long break every 4th) follow the classic method, but you can adapt them to your rhythm.
Skip jumps to the next phase, and Reset starts the cycle over. The dots show your progress toward the next long break. It all runs in your browser, and you can share a link that carries your preferred settings.
Examples
Four 25-minute focus sessions with 5-minute breaks, then a 15-minute long break.
Set focus to 50 and short break to 10 for longer concentration blocks.
Shorten focus to 15 minutes when easing back into a tough subject.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A time-management method that alternates focused work intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) with short breaks, taking a longer break after several intervals, to sustain concentration and avoid burnout.
Does it make a sound and notify me?
Yes. At each switch it plays a short beep and, if you allow notifications, shows a desktop alert — so you can look away from the screen.
Can I customise the intervals?
Absolutely. Set your own focus, short-break and long-break lengths and how many sessions precede a long break.
Does my data leave the browser?
Never. The timer is entirely client-side; only your chosen settings are encoded in the shareable link if you copy one.
